Urban Mobility Hackathon

We are very proud of the ad-hoc Dutch/Latvian/Chinese “Team Čupa” who have been awarded the 2nd place in the VEFRESH Urban Mobility Hackathon in Latvia.

Čupa is Latvian slang for crowd. They created an open source import from OpenStreetMap into the uCrowds BV simulator, SimCrowds.

Some crowd simulations were set up with over 50.000 people to review crowd behavior on Latvian Independence Day and King’s Day in the Netherlands.

Great work Team Čupa!
