TerraCrowds engine integration demonstration in Unreal Engine 5
We have integrated our TerraCrowds engine into Unreal 5 as a proof of concept.
The engine facilitates high-performance crowd simulation. All characters have their own long-term plan, collision avoidance and other behaviors. The characters are further driven by Unreal’s MetaHumans.
Epic Games provided their City demo to host the simulation. Externally controlled agents (players) are considered as well. The crowd avoids collisions with dynamic obstacles (cars).
This video is composed by some footage that was recorded by several team members of uCrowds, as well as students from Utrecht University (Madhava, Luca).
